Obituary for John Jeffery Moler

John Jeffery Charles Moler, 62, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Thursday Jan. 12, 2017 at his residence on Bellview Ave. in Winchester.
Born August 9, 1954 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Charles Griffin Moler and is survived by his mother Juanita Demory Moler. Jeff graduated from the old James Wood High School class of 1972, and Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University class of 1976. He was employed by the US Department of Defense. He was an active member of the Jefferson County Historical Society, the South Mountain Relic & Coin Club, and was instrumental in the preservation of the George Adam Moler Descedants Cemetery near Bakerton, WV and the John Moler Cemetery in near Harpers Ferry, WV. Jeff was also active in community service most of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rebecca Dawn Jones Moler, his sons, Griff of Winchester, Kyle of Richmond, VA, and Kyle’s fiancée Casey Burress of Richmond VA; three sisters; Charmayne Moler Clarke of Cross Junction, VA, Lisa Moler Robey of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Tina Moler Grove of Elkton, VA.; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
Jeff’s greatest treasures in life were his family, exploring his family history, and relic hunting.
The Family asks that memorial contributions be made for Pancreatic Cancer Genetics Research in Jeff’s honor.
