Donald E. “Gundy” Seabright, Sr., 86, of Winchester, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Berryville, VA.
Mr. Seabright was born May 19, 1930 in Winchester; the son of the late George E. Seabright and Ellistine Oates Seabright. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the Virginia National Guard. He had worked as a Court Bailiff for the City of Winchester and retired as a firefighter for Rouss Fire Hall.
He married Margaret Ann Fleming September 16, 1950. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2000. He married Odessa Louise Poe on September 30, 2007.
Along with his wife he is survived by his children, Gary G. Seabright of Stephens City, Edward Seabright, Jr. of Winchester and Denise S. Webster of Winchester; his grandchildren, Gary Ryan Seabright, Jeremy Glenn Seabright, Stacy Michelle Seabright, Kathryn Jill Sutherly, Rebecca leigh Manuel, Autumn Harper and Jared Seabright; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his step daughter, Denise Forshee and her husband Robert of Winchester; and a step grandchild, Colton Forshee.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
