Obituary for Anna L. Madagan

Anna L.  Madagan
Anna L. Madagan, 85, of Stephens City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Mrs. Madagan was born April 21, 1931 in Warren County; the daughter of Albert Franklin and Nellie McBee Franklin. She had worked for Zeropak in Winchester. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
She married Stuart M. Madagan on September 12, 1953 in Williamsport, MD. Mr. Madagan preceded her in death on February 25, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lynn Kettlewell and her husband Tim of Stephens City; daughter in law, Cathy Madagan; one sister, Helen Ameigh of Winchester; one brother, Thomas Franklin of Winchester; four grandchildren, Stuart W. Madagan, II, Jennifer A. Ridings and her husband Michael, Wynter N. Kettlewell, and Timothy W. Kettlewell and his wife Lauren. She was preceded in death by her son, Stuart Wayne Madagan, three sisters, Velma Myers, Hazel Priest and Molly Templeton; and seven brothers, Lee Riley Franklin, Leroy Franklin, Charles Franklin, George Franklin, James Franklin, Herbert Franklin and Robert Franklin.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Stephens City.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Laetitia Schoeman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stuart W. Madagan, II, Timothy Kettlewell, II, Michael L. Ridings, Charles “Teddy” Franklin, Ronnie Madagan, and Kelly Franklin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Kettlewell, Marcus Madagan, Samuel Ridings and Cole Prather.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to nieces Sandy Franklin and Jean Funkhouser and to the staff of Amerisist Assisted Living and Blue Ridge Hospice for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St. Winchester, VA 22601 or to Fairview United Methodist Church, 1136 Double Church Road, Stephens City, VA 22655.
