Patricia P. Guard, 86, of Berryville, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Stephens City.
Mrs. Guard was born January 9, 1930 in Clarke County, VA; the daughter of John Rodrick Pitta and Nannie Mae Jenkins Pitta. She had been the manager at The George Washington Apartments. She was a member of the Strasburg Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She married Wade H. Guard, Jr. on September 2, 1950 in Winchester. Mr. Guard preceded her in death on May 14, 1966.
She is survived by her children, Robin Annette Guard-Morris of Stephens City and Keith Hampton Guard of Winchester; five grandchildren, Misti Howell, Brandon Guard, Afton Guard, Amanda Clem and Heidi Clem; and four great grandchildren, Colby Lucas, Collin Lucas, Casey Howell and Aiden Clem. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Winchester Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1508 Valley Avenue, Winchester, VA.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the church.
