Kenneth  Russell "Ken"  Andrus
Kenneth Russell Andrus of Lake Holiday, Cross Junction, Virginia passed on peacefully on August 11, 2016 surrounded by his family. Ken leaves behind his wife, Sharon; children Virginia Frank, Diana Chase and husband Mike; Kenneth D. Andrus; Sarah Ashworth and husband Bobby; and Lauryl Andrus. He had twelve grandchildren; Jennifer Davis, Sarah Dasch, Jeremiah Davis, Danielle Chase, Jessica Chase, Autumn Andrus, Kaitlynn Andrus, Breanna Andrus, Kayden Ashworth, Violet Ashworth, Henry Ashworth and Hattie Ashworth. Ken had eight great-grandchildren. Ken is also survived by his sister, Shirley Catlos and husband John.
Ken’s life was filled with family fun, his engineering career, and his hobbies of woodworking and antiques. During Ken’s engineering career he worked in many automotive OEMs and achieved his personal dream of owning his own antique business. Ken proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a draftsman in the Seabees during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Ohio University. He was a member of Redland United Methodist Church and an active community volunteer as well as a participant in his beloved bridge group.
The family will have a celebration service to remember Ken’s life in October, 2016.
A private military burial is planned.
