Condolences

Condolence From: Ned Burks
Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Doug's passing. He was a good friend of my mine during my 6 years at The Winchester Star in the 1980: a bedrock of common sense and unfailing good humor in a crazy world. Rest in peace, Doug. My condolences to your family.

Condolence From: Brenda McIntire Omps
Condolence: As a student at James Wood High School 1977-1980, I met Doug on multiple occasions when he was sent to do stories on the debate and Forensic team competitions. He was always personable, interested in our future plans, and sure to make us chuckle at least once per visit. Doug never completed an interview that he did not leave us with words of encouragement and praise. He made a difference in my life.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about Doug's passing... We worked together at The Winchester Star for about 20 years. He was a very serious worker but also had a great sense of humor.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
