Raymond Martin Kackley, 92, of Winchester passed from this world to the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at his home.He was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Berryvillle to Denzil and Ruby Rutherford Kackley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years Helena "Ginny", and his sister Winifred LaRue. He is survived by his two brothers Charles and Lawrence, his brother in law Warren LaRue, his three children, Robert Kackley (Martha), Barbara Riggs and Margaret Kackley and his grandson Travis Riggs and his wife Rina. Raymond was raised in Clarke County, but left the home farm to live in Washington D.C., he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a radioman, afterwards returning to live in Washington D.C. where he met his future wife. He worked for the Veteran's Administration Canteen Service until his retirement in 1980, he and his wife then moved to Winchester where they were members of Braddock Street UMC. He was also a member of Bowling Green Golf Club for many years and managed to shoot three hole in ones during that time, later on he still golfed, just on his Wii system.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 2 at 11:00 am at Braddock Street UMC located at 115 Wolfe St. in Winchester with the funeral following at 12:00pm. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either C-CAP at 112 S. Kent St. Winchester, VA 22601 or to The Henry and William Evans Home for Children at 330 E. Leicester St. Winchester, VA 22601.
