Lois Leone  Taylor
Lois Leone Taylor, 88, of Winchester, VA, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born September 18, 1929 in Glen Rogers, WV, the daughter of William K. and Dollie Shumate Brown. Lois retired from The U.S. Department of Treasury as an EEO assistant with the IRS and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She married Charles Junior Taylor on September 14, 1956 who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by three daughters; Susan Ann Kell of Corinth, TX, Diana Lynn Schaffer of Winchester and Kathy Renee Helmick (Dave) of Winchester. In addition to her three daughters, she is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Charles, and her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Keith Tyrone Brown, and two son-in-law’s; Steve Kell and E.J. Schaffer and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 844 Amherst St. Winchester, VA 22601 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Philip H. King officiating. There will be a fellowship reception at the Church after the service.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery beside her husband, Charles at a later date.
