Floyd Zelmer  Ball
Floyd Zelmer Ball, 84, of Berryville, VA passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Floyd was born on July 18, 1932; the son of the late Samuel Hugh and Clara Virginia Jenkins Ball. He spent his life working as an orchardist, with his last place of employment being with P.T. McIntire and Sons. Floyd loved music and was often times seen with his banjo and guitar.

He married Mary Louise Baker on July 28, 1961, in Winchester, VA.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Jerry Allen Ball of Winchester, Douglas Hugh Ball (JoAnn) of Front Royal, VA, Dennis Allen Ball (Beverly) of Clear Brook, VA, and Donald Hugh Ball (Jean) of Sperryville, VA; five grandsons, two great grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Nancy Richard of IA, Jean Ball and Sue Harman both of Princeton, VA and brothers, Curtis Ball and Douglass Ball both of Princeton and George Ball of St. Louis, MO.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Jessie Brown, Louise Brown and Alice Noel and his brothers, Samuel Ball and June Ball.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Thompson officiating. Inurnment will be private at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Hisghman, Dennis Ball II, Cody Peer, Andrew Daniels, and Zach Ball.
