Obituary for James Franklin Anderson Sr.
James F. Anderson, Sr., 82, of Clear Brook, died Sunday, August 26, 2018.
Mr. Anderson was born December 16, 1935 in Winchester; the son of the late Lee R. Anderson and Gertie McKee Anderson Funk. He served in the US Navy. He worked for O’Sullivan Corp. for 40 years. After retirement, he worked for Carquest.
He married Faye V. “Penny” Tyson in 1959 in Winchester.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, John Lee Anderson and his wife, Karen of Martinsburg, WV; his daughter in law, Wilma Anderson of Richmond, VA; a brother, John H. Anderson of Winchester; and a sister, Faye Cordova of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by a son, James Franklin Anderson, Jr., and two sisters, Mary Lonas and Rosie Price.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Louis H. Whitford, III officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
