Condolence From: Kimberly Cogelia
Condolence: Please accept our condolences. I worked at the Food Lion on Pleasant Valley where Mr. Child's would pick up the food for CCAP. He was always so nice. I remember the picture in the newspaper of him and the huge parsnip he grew! My family and I had the privilege of seeing his model railroad. I told him we were going to Horseshoe Curve to see the trains. That's when he informed us of Cassandra. Another good place to see them. My family and I have very fond memories of Mr. Child's. He will always be in our hearts. God Bless!

Condolence: My sincere condolences are sent to the family of Harano Childs. I was a friend/ classmate of his daughter Marsha, in Nursing School at University of Virginia. She and I shared many rides to & from our homes in Winchester, & during that time I got to know her father Harano. He was always so kind & gracious to me, & impressed me with his knowledge about many things. I especially enjoyed seeing his amazing model railroad, which he was so proud of. May you share many fond memories of this remarkable man, and find comfort in knowing that he touched the lives of many people in many ways. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

Condolence: I am sad to learn of the passing of Mr. Childs. My father, Walter Duncan was a friend and fellow RR club member. He passed away in 2007. I was able to meet with Mr. Childs several times and to enjoy his RR layout. It was so impressive and obviously required many hours of dedication to develop it. He was a kind, very intelligent man. My prayers are with you over your loss.
