Condolence: Floyd will greatly be missed. I worked with him from 1993 till 2000, until I went to work as a CNA on Oncology. He was the best and would do anything or help you any way he could. He will be welcomed in Heaven.

Condolence: I have fond memories of Floyd- my wife and I had a service once a month at Evergreen and Floyd was one of my very faithful residents- always a smile on his face. Also he was faithful to our reading thru the Bible which took a couple of years.

Condolence From: Lea Palmer Hoak
Condolence: I worked on Behavioral Health at WMC (and WMH before that) for many years and in many capacities. I didn't know Floyd well, but every encounter with him was pleasant and positive. I especially remember one time after we moved to the new hospital when Floyd came to the unit bring "Gracie" the unit cat back home. She had crawled up into the linen cart, ridden it down to the laundry and Floyd knew who she was and offered to bring her back. We were forever grateful for his kindness in a time and place where her presence was not appreciated by all. She was a real personality to him and we loved him for his kindness. Rest in Peace dear Floyd.

Condolence From: Lila Cox
Condolence: Almost 50 years ago this scared little country girl began to work at WMH in the tray service dept. She did not know anyone, but on her first day this little man took the time to show her what to do and how to do it. He became a wonderful friend whom I looked forward to working with when I came home from college on holiday. I was a college student, who was dumb in the ways to do the job, but he never had a bad word to say. He just encouraged you to do the job right. After I left the hospital our paths crossed occasionally, but I will never forget Floyd - one of the sweetest hard working wonderful men I have ever met. I know that God is sharing the rewards of a godly life led with him, and those of us who knew him will again see him. May our blessed heavenly Father shelter all those who grieve for Floyd under His wings and may HIS love comfort in our times of need.
